Established April 25, 1924
With the exception of a brief period during World War II, the Beta Sigma Chapter has operated non-stop for nearly a century. It has forged pharmacists that have worked in every discipline, led companies, served on Boards of Pharmacy, and taken care of patients all over the United States. Those who have become Brothers have established relationships that transcend generations. While each has their own experiences and memories, the bonds formed over the last fifty-five plus years at 1345 North University Drive (and each of the three preceding houses) has laid the foundation for many successes. Today the chapter continues to cultivate well-rounded individuals who will lead the profession of pharmacy into the future.
Major Milestones
April 25th, 1924
The local Mu Pi fraternity is chartered as the Beta Sigma Chapter of Kappa Psi. Twelve Brothers lay the cornerstone for a century of excellence.

May 19th, 1956
The North Dakota Grad Chapter is chartered with an initial twenty-four graduate Brothers coming together to support their collegiate Brothers.

The current Beta Sigma Chapter House is dedicated at 1345 North University Drive, Fargo, ND 58103.

The Beta Sigma Chapter votes to initiate women into the chapter for the first time in it's history.

August 20th, 2010
The Kappa Psi Alumni Group is formed as an 501(c)7 organization with the purpose of updating the chapter house. The group buys the house from the chapter and serves as the chapter's landlord.

February 14th, 2011
The Kappa Psi Alumni Group Foundation is incorporated as a 501(c)3 organization capable of receiving tax deductible donations for the purpose of maintaining the chapter house and supporting students.

A major renovation of the living quarters of the chapter house leads to the creation of nineteen private bedrooms, a unisex upstairs bathroom, and a handicap accessible main floor bathroom.

The North Dakota Graduate Chapter is
re-chartered during North Dakota State University's Homecoming weekend.

The Beta Sigma Chapter, North Dakota Graduate Chapter, and Kappa Psi Alumni Group welcomed over 150 Brothers and guests for a celebration of our history and successes.
